Zia's Story

'You are a man now, take care of your mother,' Zia's father whispered to Zia just as he is arrested - never to return home. Soon after that, in 1989, the Russians pull out of Afghnaistan, and the country falls into civil war. After the Taliban took over, women were not allowed to work, nor could girls go to school. Zia's Story is based on the author's own experiences as a young mother having to flee an Afghanistan torn apart by war with her young son.Author: Shahnaz Qayumi, author,Nahid Kazemi, author Contributors: Shahnaz Qayumi, author,Nahid Kazemi, author Binding: paperback Number Of Pages: 88 Publication Date: Release Date: Languages: English,Published,English,Original Language,Englis Published/Release Date: 15 Aug 2024 Format: Paperback / softback Publisher/Studio/Brand: Tradewind Books Author/Director/Artist: Shahnaz Qayumi Dimension (cm): 210x140x25 mm Package Dimension (cm): 12x208x139 mm Item Weight (g): 159 Package Weight (g): 160
